Throughout our journey of juggling all the things that come with adulting, we've found a way to build iron-forged bodies and minds.

Hi! I'm Janette — a military veteran, wife, mom, and fitness enthusiast. I’ve always loved baking, crafting, and gaming with my husband, but the gym became my true outlet for stress relief and self-improvement. Growing up, I was the “skinny kid” in an obese family, but poor habits led to years of weight fluctuations. My real fitness journey began during a military separation from my husband. Instead of partying, I started hitting the gym and studying female athletes like Dana Lynn Bailey, which inspired me to lose 30 pounds.
Pregnancy brought new challenges — I gained 60 pounds with my first child and 45 with my second. Despite lifting weights, I struggled to lose the weight, mainly because I was trying to out-train a bad diet. In 2020, four years after having my youngest, I decided to prep for a bodybuilding show, finally learning the importance of nutrition and discipline.
I’ve learned that fitness is just as much mental as it is physical. My husband Kris and I have faced the ups and downs together, and now we’re passionate about helping others avoid our mistakes and find strength — as individuals and as couples — through fitness


For me, it wasn’t only about my physical appearance. As a young boy I was sexually abused, subjected to gang violence, domestic violence and more. I grew up being afraid, weak, full of insecurity, and feeling like I had to prove myself. Before I was even an adult, I had signed up to join the military. I fought in Amateur MMA, Boxing, and Kick Boxing. I am a purple belt in Jiu Jitsu...all of these things to prove to myself I am no longer that weak little boy that got taken advantage of.
But beneath all these physical accolades, I developed a bulletproof mindset. I learned how to welcome adversity with open arms. I learned how to trivialize stress, life’s curveballs, and hard times. I combined this with the leadership skillset and principles I gained during my 20 years in the Military. I’ve used this same mindset in all aspects of my life and I have conquered every obstacle in my path. This is my specialty, building an unstoppable mindset, a mindset that cultivates change...a mindset that can FORGE a new you.
